RSP2 is a dedicated lightweight tip-sensing Renishaw probe for use on the REVO head capable of 2D-scanning and 3D-touch trigger measurements. The RSP2 has a universal kinematic mount onto which a number of different length cmm stylus holders, with a maximum reach of 500mm, can be fitted. The RSP2 has an enclosed laser system that is directed onto a reflector at the stylus tip. As the stylus touches the part the reflector is displaced. The return path of the laser is sensed by the PSD which automatically detects any bending moment of the stylus. The exact tip position of the stylus is known because the reflector and stylus ball are very close together. Stylus wear is minimized due to the low scanning forces that are employed.
RSP3 is 3D scanning probe for use with REVO and utilizes Renishaw SP25. RSP3 also enables cranked styli to be used with the REVO.
